We weren’t expecting to be looking for a puppy when we did. Our old basset was chugging along and our year-old puppy was busy bedeviling her when suddenly the old girl’s kidneys failed and we had to put her down. The puppy was beside herself, being an only dog for the first time.

Jane had contacted friends of ours about placing one of her puppies. They knew that our dog was going thru a rough time and recommended us to Jane. She asked around about us, like the top-notch person/breeder that she is and must have gotten a good review because she let us have one of her puppies!

Apple is a wonderful dog. Her and our girl bonded up in 5 minutes and have been inseparable for the last six years. She has also been a good working hound, advancing to very high levels in AKC scent work and tracking and also competing in AKC obedience and earning an AKC Rally title.
